I’ll be gone for the next week, camping in Big Bear. Maybe I’ll have some posts when I get back. Meanwhile, I’ll leave you with some Hayes Carll. I wish he’d come out with an acoustic album, as that seems to be when he is at his best.
I guess I let the blog atrophy a bit. Again. Posting will likely be sparse for a little while. At least until after my next camping trip, in early June.
My brief tribute to all Hyperdox Herman and all the Cultydox out there. I think it could have been good, had I the will to spend some time on it.
I thought this remix of Tellier’s Cochon Ville fit the cultiness perfectly, with the robotic beckoning of the cult members, the sexual overtones and the ecstatic calls of the leader. The leader’s demands for money at the climax brings it all together. God bless the French.
Camping season is coming on soon. I am now counting the dwindling days until I will fill the ice chest with beer, chorizo, bacon and BBQ beans, throw it in the tent trailer, hitch it up and head on out to Joshua Tree. There’s nothing like the desert in the spring. Strap on the hiking boots, listen to nothing but the wind and forget about the world.
